BAT TURKEY IS LOOKING FOR A FINANCE ANALYST IN ACCOUNTING TEAM!

LOCATION: Istanbul, Turkey

British American Tobacco is currently looking for a Finance Analyst to join our Accounting team from Istanbul, Turkey!

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

• Implements and coordinates processes to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Gathers, analyses, and reports data documenting internal control processes over financial reporting. Identifies internal control deficiencies and ensures the timely implementation of corrective actions
• This position also requires working with Finance, Finance Shared Services and Information Technology partners across property to document adequate internal controls that can be tested and opined upon by management and our external auditors. Work in a team-oriented, project driven environment with business unit leaders to improve the internal controls environment. In addition, may assist with other related compliance activities
• Working closely with Financial Shared Services from Romania for all related matters
• Performing and controlling daily, weekly and month transactions of Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Banking Ops and Payroll.
• Month end & year end closing activities
• Providing support for internal & external audits
• Documentation to regulatory boards

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Bachelor’s degree from a similar background
• Minimum 2 years of Accounting Department / Internal Control Process experience in a multinational company
• SAP FI module knowledge must
• Very good command of English both written and spoken is preferred
• Knowledge of MS Office programs with high competency in Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to interpret financial data
• Strong sense of responsibility and urgency
