We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our pre-opening leadership team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for establishing and overseeing all financial operations of the property, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the Hotel Manager in strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and lead the Finance Department during the pre-opening phase and beyond.
- Develop and implement financial policies and internal control systems.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Monitor day-to-day accounting functions including AP/AR, revenue audit, payroll, and cash management.
- Ensure compliance with Turkish tax laws, labor regulations, and Rotana’s corporate policies.
- Analyze financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to optimize profitability.
- Manage relationships with banks, auditors, vendors, and government authorities.
- Work closely with department heads to maintain efficient cost control across operations.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior finance role, ideally within the hospitality or luxury serviced apartments sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA/ACCA/CMA qualification preferred.
- Strong understanding of Turkish financial and tax regulations.
- Familiarity with hospitality systems such as Opera, SUN, and Materials Control is an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent command of English; Turkish proficiency is highly advantageous.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
