As Turkey, we are looking for an "Procurement Specialist" with the following qualifications to work in our Ankara Head Office and achieve new successes together within the Viking Family.
Duties and Responsibilities (Including QHSE)
- Responsible for foreign purchasing of Turkey operations
- Following material delivery to related places
- Keeping trackers of POs
- Negotiation with vendors for good payment terms and prices
- Responsible for local and foreign purchasing for Turkey and out of Turkey operations
- Responsible for all purchasing activities of Maintenance and Fabrication Department
- Following Viking International Limited’s QHSE&T policies and procedures in order to create a safe working environment at all times
- Performing all other duties and tasks assigned by the department management
- Tracking payments from Finance Department
- Tracking purchase orders delivery status
- Collecting quotations from different vendors
- Searching materials for good quality and considering prices
Position Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of direct international technical purchasing/procurement (long experience in deadline Projects is a plus )
- Work experience in an international and diverse cultural environment
- Graduated from preferably related technical and engineering departments
- Be fluent in spoken and written English
- Strong troubleshooting and problem identification skills
- Strong technical background in all aspects of Supply Chain
- Ability to handle multiple tasks on a daily basis and to follow-up on all tasking to completion
- Ability to claim and accept ownership of processes, and to provide appropriate leadership when called upon
- Proficient computer skills in office software and company proprietary software
